The KRI Independent Human Rights Commission builds a holistic understanding of the diverse human challenges of the protracted crisis in Iraq

From 24-26 February, the EU funded HIJRA AMINA programme brought together a diverse group of officers of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) Independent Human Rights Commission in Erbil for a training on Counter-Trafficking in Persons and Psychosocial Support.  32 participants from a wide geographical coverage and areas heavily populated by IDPs and refugees, namely; Akre, Chamchamal, Duhuk, Erbil, Khanaqeen, Koya, Rapareen, Sharazoor, Soran, Sulaymaniyah and Zaxo.  To this aim, the Commission is an indispensable stakeholder of HIJRA AMINA, all the more so as the programme endeavours to reach out to grass-root institutions.
